Our doctors maintain active staff privileges at West Jefferson Medical Center. They have received numerous honors and held positions of distinction in the orthopedic community. They are consistently named “Best Doctors in New Orleans” by New Orleans Magazine and “Best Doctors in Louisiana” by Louisiana Life Magazine. All of our doctors are Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
All of our doctors are Fellows in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and members of the Louisiana State Medical Society, the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association, and the Greater New Orleans Orthopedic Society.
MARK JUNEAU JR., M.D.
Dr. Juneau cofounded Jefferson Orthopedic Clinic in 1978. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of New Orleans, followed by his Medical Degree from LSU School of Medicine. He then completed his Orthopedic Residency at LSU. Dr. Juneau is a member of the Medical Honor Society, AΩA, and the Clinical Orthopaedic Society. He is the past president of LSU Medical School Alumni and the Louisiana and Greater New Orleans Orthopedic Societies. In 2009, he was honored as LSU Medical School Alumnus of the Year. Dr. Juneau performs a variety of arthroscopic procedures as well as computer assisted knee replacement.
MATTHEW R. GRIMM, M.D.
Dr. Grimm joined the practice in 1996. He completed his undergraduateeducation at Northwestern University. Following a career as a petroleum chemist, he attended LSU Medical School. He then completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at LSU. He is a member of the Medical Honor Society, AΩA, and the Clinical Orthopaedic Society. He is the past president of the Louisiana and Greater New Orleans Orthopedic Societies. Dr. Grimm is trained in direct anterior hip replacement. He also performs a variety of arthroscopic procedures as well as computer assisted knee replacement and partial knee replacement.
R. DOUGLAS BOSTICK III, M.D.
Dr. Bostick joined the practice in 2001. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama, followed by his Medical Degree at LSU. After completing his orthopedic surgery residency at Charity Hospital (LSU, New Orleans), he later became board certified in sports medicine. Dr. Bostick is a member of the Clinical Orthopaedic Society, on the board of the LSU Alumni Association and the past president of the Greater New Orleans Orthopedic Society. He performs a variety of arthroscopic and minimally invasive procedures including hip arthroscopy. He is also trained in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injections.
WESLEY A. CLARK, M.D.
Dr. Clark joined the practice in 2013. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Auburn University and his Medical Degree from LSU School of Medicine. He then completed his Orthopedic Residency at Tulane University and a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. His interests include total hip and total knee replacement as well as partial knee replacement and revision hip and knee surgery.
BARTON L. WAX, M.D.
Dr. Wax joined the practice in 2013. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University and his Medical Doctorate from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He subsequently completed an Orthopedic Surgery residency at LSUHSC and a fellowship in Hand Surgery at the University of Miami. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. His interests include all bony and soft tissue problems of the hand and upper extremity, both acute and chronic, with special interest in microvascular surgery.
